Damires Hills @ Their 4th Anniversary

Gaah.. It’s really nice to see this resort improve as we visit! 🙂
Last time, while I was fixing photos and Ron was doing his layers for the resort’s 4th anniversary poster we saw old photos of the resort and may I say that the place has really improved! From just the cottages to 2 big pools to (Kiddie&Adult) ziplines and trampolines! And this year.. they had just finished their ATV route!

This was supposed to be posted last year but due to some “weird events” this IS a super late upload. 🙂
The last food that we tried last year was their Calamares and Lawas.
The Calamares was good but the LAWAS was the best! At first I didn’t know what it was because in our dialect LAWAS means BODY and I for one wasn’t comfortable eating a BODY (Hahaha) but joking aside… This was beyond my expectations!
This tasted like nilaga or bulalo but wasn’t nilaga or bulalo! (I have no idea how to explain it) When you go to Damires please do try this…

Since we were so full we decided to take a walk and see the view in one of the open cottages …

While we waited for all the Damires peeps to prepare for their get-together party we decided to.. TAKE OVER DAMIRES HILLS. (Nah, I’m just kidding, wahaha) We went around and saw this log near the pool and decided to have our picture taken with that log (I have no idea how to say this but yes a bit vain but not insane) but basically we just sat on the log. (Thanks a log! Log! ) Get it? (PUN INTENDED, so punny!) 😀 Anyway…

After our little photo shoot we saw some of the Damires crew setting up long tables and placing banana leaves on top of the tables. They told us that this was for tonight’s boodle fight. (PS. I have never seen a boodle fight table this long! Haha) 🙂

Ron & I then accompanied Khlea to her place for her to change (see some of my failed jump shots *weight issues* here, later!) Back to our topic… Aah!…
So we went back to Damires and was just in time for the crew’s last game before dinner… “PALO-SEBO.
(Palo-Sebo: commonly played during Fiestas)
(Objective: to be the first person to reach the prize at the top of the pole)

It was really fun watching them, but what If girls were made to play this game? Hah! That would even be more exciting! Hahaha! 😀

Nothing beats eating with your bare hands! 🙂
Belated Happy 4th Anniversary Damires Hills! 🙂

Thank you Pao, Tita Arlene and Tito Louie 🙂

Burnt Skin: You are so TOAST!

You are so toast, Toaster! (*cries in agony*)

Well, it was already 7AM and I have not slept yet. I got hungry, so I decided to make a cheese sandwich.
— (But ofcourse I still ate some chips, some cup noodles and drank a pitcher of lemonade — Yes, I know. I have not been eating and sleeping properly this past few months, I promise to eat clean and sleep on time next month, again, I’m sorry) —

Anyway, I noticed that the upper part of the “Pandesal” was slipping together with the cheese melting towards the bottom of the toaster. SO WITHOUT USING MY BRAIN, I tried to fix the sandwich and tried moving it a bit closer to the toaster’s lid and then BAAAAM, my hand got burned..  (remembers pain *cries in agony*) (looks at wound *cries in agony*)

Our helper Tin-Tin offered me an Aloe Vera leaf.  She told me to just rub the jelly part on my burnt skin and so I did.
I searched Mr. Google and asked him if there were any remedies I could do for my skin.. and I found out thaaaaat,
ALOE VERA + BURNT SKIN = Soooooothiiiiing…

1.) I should have soaked the burnt part in cold water for 20 mins as soon as possible,   AND SO I DID….
Never apply ice to your burnt skin, The extreme cold can further cause damage to the burn.

2. Pat the wound w/ a dry cloth and get your Aloe Vera.
Break the Aloe Vera in the most fattest region so you could get a lot of those jelly-wellies..

3. Start treating!  Rub the jelly-welly unto your burnt skin in a gentle motion.
(You can put or apply as much aloe-jelly as you want to)
(This felt so great, I could have finished the whole plant! Haha)
APPLY THE GEL TWICE A DAY FOR 2-3 DAYS, UNTIL IT IS NO LONGER PAINFUL

Aloe Vera Jelly
It’ll feel painful once the jelly has come off but it’ll be okay after a few minutes.. 😀

4. Look at your burnt skin, and tell yourself that it won’t leave a scar 😥
– Hopefully it won’t but they say that it usually does, but I hope not! (*fingers crossed*)

Please call your doctor if you think that it isn’t just a 1st-2nd degree burn..
Things could get pretty nasty if you won’t. \(-__-)/

it was really hard taking a picture with this camera since it not friendly to those shaky hands (even just a bit)
though it takes good close-up photos when using a tripod (or when your really doing everything to stay still, haha)

Well, thank you for reading!

BayaNiRizal: Mga Bagong Kabanata ng Noli at Fili

BayaNiRizal: Mga Bagong Kabanata ng Noli at Fili
Hi. Hi. Hello!

As I’ve told you in my “About Me section..
I am a lights designer and a member of  an awesome theater company the USA Little Theater. It’s actually thanks to them that I became a lights designer and now a Technical Director.  (But I still have a lot to learn though) Compared to those professional LD’s and TD’s. 🙂

Anywhoo, this post has been on the “draft” side for a while now..  ( 06-26-13 )  Well these photos right here were taken by me while I was lighting the show. (Thank god for Multitasking skills) Though, there were a lot of b-e-a-utiful scenes that I just wanted to shoot but since I was doing booth shooting and lighting I couldn’t possibly click the shutter every second. Haha. 😀

BayaNiRizal, Formerly known as Ciento Cincuenta—is a play-tribute to our National Hero, Dr. Jose Rizal on his 150th death anniversary—this was my first production as an official member of this University-Theater company. Though It’s still considered as a work-in-progress but out of all USALT‘s plays, this has been one of those whom I consider as my baby.  Besides being the lights designer, I’ve also acted as the anti-“Donya Victorina”, co-written one of the plays “Ibarra” and we (my fellow batchmates) collaborated with the “Magulangs” (senior members) to stage this production. This has been one of my proud moments as a member.

So, there are nine short-plays and each run features five selected plays, so as not to drag the audience. These photos are the recently staged short-plays ;  “Ibarra” ,  “Sisa” , “Kapitan Tiyago” ,  “Maria Clara” and “Miss Philippines” (Miss Philippines is another shortplay coming from another production in USALT’s : Eksena 5)

— Okaaaay enough with the “my-on-and-on-chibbles” ——
No, but seriously this is play is awesome.  you could check everything else here —> USA Little Theater’s WordPress. & here USA Little Theater’s Facebook

SEAFDEC, Guimaras Island

Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center  (SEAFDEC)

After watching the movie YES OR NO 2  (Les movie) I’ve been addicted to Fisheries and Agriculture.  (Something Random)   —–  Anyway..  Hahahahaha..

Let’s move on..  On June 1, 2013 – My theater folks and I went to Guimaras for our “Year-end-celebration-vacation”
We were supposed to stay at Raymen Beach Resort but decided to stay on the other resort (Alubihod Cove) which was just right next to Raymen’s.  (I’ll try to make another separate post on both Raymen and Alubihod Cove)

This was my 2nd time in Guimaras with the USALTees (Theater Company). So we decided to go island hopping and visit the ones that we haven’t seen/been to.

After countless visits on the same island/caves every time I go Island Hopping.. This was the first time I’ve been to the SEAFDEC.. a 20 minute “PAMBOAT” ride from Alubihod beach. Since I was super thrilled and excited to roam around the area.. I took a lot of photos and forgot to take a good look at those big groupers (Lapu-Lapu) 😦

– If you know Jennifer Lawrence the girl who portrayed Katniss Everdeen in the movie The Hunger Games. During her interview with Ellen Degeneres she said that she wasn’t afraid of sharks but was afraid of a Grouper that was as big as a Volkswagen. – :O  (Here’s the link to that ep..)

Flew more than 15K Lanterns for Guinness World Record!

“Inaugural Light of Peace Event in the Philippines: World Peace through Inner Peace”

On ze 24th of May, I went to the University of the Philippine Visayas campus in Miagao City.

Since this was just my 2nd time flying a lantern, I have never seen lanterns this many “lit and set free” at the same time. Well, Talk about Mind F*ck (Excuse me) 😀
(For more details about the Event: ( Inquirer Visayas , World Record Academy )

Anywhoo, I brought Enrique (canon 10d) along w/ me, but those  “ERROR 99”  just won’t stop plus the fact that the mirror inside keeps on getting stuck and closing.  I even brought my film cameras which I had later realized that the event would start at around 6PM it would be fine if I had those high ISO rolls with me..
All I had were ze 200’s and one B&W 400..  This was such a huge BUMMER..

So in the end I borrowed my friend’s (Kat) dslr  and volunteered to take their pictures.. Thanks KAT! 😀
I have taken too many blurry pictures, too many of my friends’ pictures..  and I have even reached the point of forgetting the feeling of being there.. 😦
But the fact that I was there and being one of the “15thousand” who helped break the record was enough. (Hihihi)

Camera Used: (Canon EOS Rebel T1i/Canon500D)

I hope you enjoy a few of my photos on that day.. 🙂

Batad ’10 & ’11

I was born in this little town/place called “Batad” somewhere here  –> Google Map <–
Haha, anyway..  Here’s some photos of our friendly-vain Mother Pig and Baby Pig.
I also posted a photo of our old and cool junky car whom I have named “Rusty Jimmy”
But I have no idea if it’s still working..
My mom had it made so that whenever we would return here in the city,
people there could use “Rusty Jimmy” to run errands for my mom..

Thanks for dropping by Blogger, Phlogger and Reader!

Multiply Reincarnates Into a Social Shopping Hub

Hi Hi Hello.

Since “Multiply rebooted its system last December..
Getting rid of its Social Network and now focusing on being the “Social Shopping Hub” for Online Marketers.

Those who wasn’t able to save their files from that site is now living in a world of fear. (That’s me) Mehehe..
Goodbye Photos, Goodbye.  😥
(Now, I fear for my photos on Facebook) But, I think it’s time to put my new 1TB WD Hard Drive  “Teeruh” to use!

So, while I’ve been saving all my photos from Facebook to “Teeruh” I decided to fix some of  the photos
and upload it here on WordPress..

It’s not that great though.. But whatever..
(Still thinking of a good name for my new category)
